🇨🇴 Medellín: Beyond Reggaeton – The Rise of Bachata
Colombia has always been celebrated for its incredible music, warm people, and breathtaking landscapes. Colombians preserve their own musical heritage while enthusiastically welcoming other styles that enrich their already vibrant culture.

Medellín, a city internationally famous for its Reggaeton influence, is now also seeing a phenomenal surge in its Bachata scene. Los Paisas have wholeheartedly embraced and adopted this Caribbean dance, with its popularity growing exponentially year after year.

This rapid growth is a testament to the excellent musical taste of the Colombian people. You can now find an increasing number of bachata studios and social events all across the city. The people of Medellín are not just learning this popular dance—they are mastering it and truly making it their own. Colombians are naturally gifted dancers, and as a result, the city hosts spectacular shows and high-quality social events.

Having danced in various cities globally, I have to admit that Medellín absolutely blew me away with their profound musicality and impeccable taste. It would not surprise me at all to see this city become recognized as the capital of Bachata, alongside its reign as the home of Reggaeton .
Colombia, hermoso país! ❤️
