We’re thrilled to see Joan Danziger, longtime Millennium Arts Salon member, featured in The Washington Post following the opening of her major retrospective exhibition last night. ✨

The article offers a beautiful look into Joan’s decades-long practice and the imaginative world she has built through sculpture, myth, and transformation. We invite you to take a moment to read and reflect on her work—and then join us in person next month.

Dear Millennium Arts Salon Club Members and Friends – It is with deep sadness that I share, Jacqueline W Cole, affectionately known as “Jackie,” made her transition on Friday evening, November 21, 2025. Many of you may remember Jackie as a lively, witty, and warm spirit. She and her husband, Dr Jack Cole, were passionate art collectors, staunch art advocates and supporters of MAS. She was a committed wife of nearly 60 years, mother of three children, grandmother, and retired IBM Executive. I met Jackie at IBM during my early years there and we shared a friendship that spanned over 40 years.

I imagine many of you have good memories from meeting/knowing Jackie. Attached are images of Jackie during a MAS tour to Ethiopia in January 2012.

Jackie will be deeply missed, but her vibrant spirit that inspired and nourished many will remain.

We will provide information about celebration of life services as the family advises. In the meantime, please keep the family, especially her husband Jack and her children Angela, Lisa, and Martin in your thoughts and prayers.

Artfully Yours,
Juanita Hardy, Co-founder
