Project selected by CEGA for the year 2019

The goal of the selected project is the repair and reconditioning of the Day Center Hogar de día Calzada, which is part of the National Program “Un Niño, Un Futuro” (One Child, One Future,) initiative managed by the NGO CILSA ONG por la Inclusión
This day center is located within the lunchroom La Sonrisa de los niños, in Ceferino Ramírez 4950, San Carlos corner (Former Sucre), Neighborhood 2 de Abril, Rafael Calzada, district of Almirante Brown, province of Buenos Aires.

The program “Un Niño, Un Futuro” was born in 2001 due to the critical economic situation of those years. Through its day centers, it provides a space for education, recreation, and support for children and teenagers but from low-income families, with or without disabilities. The purpose is to raise awareness of their rights, and to create a space of belonging and comprehensive learning. More than 1,100 children receive daily attention and support in 31 day centers throughout the seven cities where CILSA is operational: Rosario, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, La Plata, and Mar del Plata.

Nowadays, Hogar de día Calzada receives some 70 children per day in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The premises are in precarious conditions, reason for which the project includes the improvement and repair of the ceiling, kitchen, bathroom, playing room, and exterior bars, in addition to the purchase of equipment. The estimated budget is ARS 297,001, and the project is expected to be completed between November 2019 and next March.

Proyecto seleccionado por CEGA para el año 2019

El proyecto seleccionado tiene como objetivo el arreglo y acondicionamiento del Hogar de día Calzada, parte del Programa Nacional “Un Niño, Un Futuro” (UNUF) perteneciente a CILSA ONG por la Inclusión.

El hogar funciona en el comedor La Sonrisa de los niños, ubicado en Ceferino Ramírez 4950, esquina San Carlos (Ex Sucre), Barrio 2 de Abril, Rafael Calzada, Partido de Almirante Brown, provincia de Buenos Aires.

El programa UNUF nació en 2001 como respuesta a la crítica situación económica de aquel momento. A través de sus hogares de día, brinda un espacio de educación, recreación y contención a niños y jóvenes con o sin discapacidad provenientes de familias de escasos recursos. El objetivo del mismo es promover sus derechos, creando un espacio de pertenencia y aprendizaje integral. Se reciben a diario más de 1.100 niños en 31 hogares de día en las siete ciudades donde CILSA posee presencia institucional: Rosario, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, La Plata y Mar del Plata.

Actualmente, el espacio recibe unos 70 niños y niñas de entre 3 y 12 años por día, en dos turnos (mañana y tarde). Las instalaciones están en condiciones muy precarias, por lo cual, el proyecto incluye mejoras y arreglos en el techo, la cocina, el baño, la sala de juegos y la reja exterior, además de la compra de equipamiento. El presupuesto estimado es de ARS 297.001, y se estima que los arreglos se llevarán a cabo entre noviembre del corriente y marzo del próximo año.
