The Healthcare Leadership Council and Confidentiality Coalition brought together an expert panel for a congressional briefing to discuss opportunities for artificial intelligence in healthcare. The panel consisted of representatives from EMDgroup, Marshfield Clinic Health System, The Mount Sinai Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Oracle, and Premier Inc.. The discussion revolved around how to gain trust through protecting data privacy, and how to utilize this tool to reduce healthcare worker burnout and improve the delivery of care.

New Morning Consult survey shows that over 90 percent of American seniors like their Medicare Part D drug program. Beneficiaries say their drug coverage is affordable and provides good value. As the federal government announces the first list of prescription drugs to be subject to government price controls, it’s important to ask if this is what seniors want? The survey shows two-thirds of seniors want prices negotiated by private plans and pharmaceutical companies, with only 16 percent preferring government-controlled pricing and availability.
