🎒✏️ Help Us Fill Their Backpacks. Fuel Their Future.

As the new school year approaches, Beacon House is launching our Back-to-School Supply Drive to ensure every student starts the year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.

For many families, purchasing school supplies can be a challenge. Together, we can ease that burden and equip students with the tools they need to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
We're collecting new backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, calculators, and other essential school supplies.

Every donation—big or small—helps put students on the path to success.

We are thrilled to be part of the 2026 Spur Local class of critical local nonprofits! It’s an honor to be selected by community advocates across the region based on our impact and work. With your support, we can continue to make a difference right here, where we live.
This recognition reflects our commitment to creating a safe space where children and families in Washington, DC can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are especially grateful that this recognition comes full circle, Beacon House was first recognized by Spur Local in 2003, and more than two decades later, we remain steadfast in our mission to serve our community.

☀️ Day 1 of Summer Camp is in the books! 🎉

The energy was high from start to finish as our campers jumped into a day full of learning, teamwork, and fun.

🏈 Sports Camp kicked off with football players studying plays and building their skills, while our cheerleaders brought enthusiasm, spirit, and teamwork to every activity.

🧠 Camp L.E.A.P. challenged young minds with brain-building activities, problem-solving games, and creative play that kept imaginations running wild.

This is just the beginning of an incredible summer filled with growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!
