From June 24th - 27th, 2013 we are bringing all different kinds of activists to our nation’s capital to voice our collective passion and concern for our wild places and green spaces. And throughout the month of September, we’re mobilizing Americans from all walks of life and from all 50 states to get outdoors!

From June 25-28, conservation advocates, sportsmen, youth leaders, veterans and others will come to Washington D.C. to build support for the protection of America’s Great Outdoors through public lands conservation, access for hunting and fishing and other outdoor recreation, increased funding for conservation, and reconnecting Americans with America’s Great Outdoors.

Monday, June 25th

5:00 – 7:00 PM – WELCOME RECEPTION
Description: Welcome reception for all Great Outdoors America Week participants in the Ansel Adams Gallery of The Wilderness Society. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided. We will also distribute agenda packets and background materials for the week.

Tuesday, June 26th

8:00 – 10:00 AM – TRAINING/STRATEGY SESSION
Description: Current update on public lands, access, and funding issues on the Hill, with a detailed briefing on key issues. Overview of the week’s activities, key messages, and more. Packets will be available if you were not able to attend Monday evening.
