It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved community member, Suellen Crano.

For more than 25 years, Suellen overcame mesothelioma and was a fierce advocate, a compassionate friend and peer to other patients, and a source of encouragement to so many. She served the community as a member of the foundation's Board of Directors, as a volunteer peer advocate, and a constant champion for mesothelioma awareness and advocacy. If you have been to a symposium, there's a good chance you've gotten to meet Suellen and get pulled in by her warmth and kindness.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
Rest in peace, Suellen. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. ❤️

Congratulations to Dr. Marjorie Zauderer, MS, FACP, on being named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO)! Dr. Zauderer is Section Chief, Hematology and Oncology at the Westchester Medical Center, has served as the Chair of the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation Board of Directors from 2018 through 2025 and is currently in the Immediate Past Chair role for 2026.

This prestigious honor recognizes Dr. Zauderer's outstanding contributions to cancer research, patient care, and the oncology community. Her unwavering commitment to advancing treatments for mesothelioma and improving outcomes for patients has made a lasting impact on countless lives.

The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation is proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition and grateful for Dr. Zauderer's leadership, dedication, and partnership in the fight against mesothelioma.
