Young AFCEA Bethesda is proud to support the Challenger Center, an international nonprofit that engages thousands of students each year in experiential programs to strengthen their knowledge and interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Challenger Center is currently expanding their STEM at Home program. This is a free program that provides online activities and lessons for all age groups K-12. These activities require common household items or products that are readily available online. Individual learning centers are also taking part by providing virtual events of their own. The Challenger Learning Center of Maine recently hosted a downlink with astronauts aboard the International Space Station. You can find opportunities like this and more on their website.
