Fashion, film, and conversation — the perfect combination.

Join Fashion Group International of DC for a special community evening featuring a screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 followed by post-film drinks, networking, and curated conversation with fellow creatives, industry professionals, and fashion lovers.

From the theater experience to the after-conversation, this night is designed to feel stylish, insightful, and community-driven as we discuss fashion’s influence on culture, media, and the future of the industry itself.

A moment to highlight one of our featured panelists .s.a_style1

Eugene Simms, a Washington, DC native, is a visionary costume designer whose 10+ year career bridges the worlds of fashion, theater, and film. Known for extracting history’s deeper meaning through fabric and form, he creates wardrobes that heighten both the narrative and the actor’s performance. From styling everyday lives to designing for acclaimed productions like The Color Purple: The Musical, Legacy of Royals: Black Women in Opera, and The Souls of Black Pebbles, Eugene infuses sophistication and authenticity into every stitch. A dedicated advocate for artistic and community development, he served a two-year term on the District of Columbia’s Commission on Fashion Arts and Events, further amplifying his mission to promote self-expression and creative opportunity across the city.
