Cecilia Muñoz, former Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Obama, stopped by to talk to Chorus America staff and board members about advocacy after our successful Hill Day yesterday.

We're on Capitol Hill today making our voice heard in a different way than usual. Chorus America staff and board members took today to talk to lawmakers about the importance of the choral field and the value choruses have in their communities. We'll be posting more in the coming weeks about our experience!

We took this quick picture a few weeks ago during our Hill Day training, and tomorrow all our preparation pays off as we participate in a Hill Day on Capitol Hill! We'll be meeting with lawmakers to advocate for choruses across the United States, focusing on three key priorities:

-Demonstrating the local impact of the choral arts
-Sustaining federal arts funding
-Protecting federal grantmaking

Applications are open for the 2027 Choral-Orchestral Conducting Academy!

Spend a week on the podium with expert faculty, one-on-one lessons, and a final performance in Meng Concert Hall at California State University, Fullerton.

This year's rep: Carmina Burana and The Tender Land Suite.
