American-Austrian Cultural Society A non-profit that promotes austrian cultural exchange organizing events to celebrate traditions.

Founded in 1954, the American-Austrian Cultural Society is volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to promoting an exchange in Austrian and American culture in the Washington metropolitan area. The Society's engaging cultural and educational activities are centered around the artistic, humanistic, and scientific achievements of Austrians as well as Americans with ties to Austria. The Society

organizes and supports events to experience Austrian culture and traditions through music, dance, and food, while meeting like-minded and new people from across the world.

What a wonderful Adventfeier at the Austrian Ambassador’s Residence. We were honored to be hosted by the Ambassador for a sold-out evening filled with holiday spirit, extraordinary food, and great company. From Glühwein and Weihnachtskekse to delicious seasonal dishes, everything was simply fantastic.

A special thank you to the Alpine Singers, led by Carol Traxler, for filling the evening with beautiful Austrian Advent and beloved Christmas classics, and for inviting everyone to sing along.

Thank you to all our members and guests who made this celebration so memorable.
