Founded in 2003, The Madison of Washington, DC is a professional, civic, and social organization of 100 young women in the greater DC area, representing a broad range of careers and backgrounds.

Each year, The Madison holds a variety of signature ticketed social events at various venues in DC. Through these events we are able to stay true to our commitment to serve the community by raising mon

ey for our selected philanthropy all while enjoying a drink, listening to great music and networking with other young professionals.

The organization is named in honor of Dolley Madison, who ranks among the most significant and beloved first ladies in American history, and whose lasting legacy exemplifies the gracious character, civic pride, and spirit of service that The Madison seeks to foster.

A meaningful night supporting an even more meaningful mission!

This weekend, Madison members had the opportunity to volunteer with Project Blackbird at their annual gala — an evening that brought together philanthropic leaders, athletes, advocates, and community members to support youth mental health.

Project Blackbird works to provide free therapy and connect students with both national and local mental health resources. We’re grateful to have played a small part in a night dedicated to expanding access to care, mental health education, and direct support for young people.
