The Back to School Used Book Sale has started!

Join us from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm for 50 cent kids books, $1 paperbacks, and $2 hardbacks. Plus merchandise and free kids activities!

We ask that you consider testifying at the DCPL Oversight Hearing on Friday, February 28, 2025 starting at 9:30 am. You can testify in person, virtually, or written correspondence.

Now is the time to show your support and love of DCPL, your neighborhood branch, and the countless patrons who benefit from your good work.

You should first read though the FAQ Document which contains information about how to submit your written testimony for the upcoming DCPL Performance Oversight Hearing. The FAQ also provides more specific details about what to include in your testimony.

Our Winter Used Book Sale is in full swing!

Running until 3:30, stop down and fill up on 50 cent kids books, $1 paperbacks, and $2 hardbacks. Plus, kids face painting and balloon animals.

All proceeds benefit the Petworth Library, library programming, and getting books out into the community.

Saturday, December 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Just 50 cents for kids books, $1 for paperbacks, and $2 for hardbacks.

We have fiction, non-fiction, classics, memoirs, gardening, cooking, travel, parenting, young adult, really something for everyone.

Plus! New merchandise with shirts and totes in Spanish and more kid shirt options.

The Petworth Community Market has graciously agreed to give the Friends at Petworth Library a spot at their sale this Saturday, November 2!
