How do we genuinely show up for API communities when it comes to mental health?

Join us on May 28th from 6–7 PM ET for a community teach-in on DVRP’s Mental Health Report!

We will dive into the lived experiences, systemic barriers, and healing practices that shape API folks’ mental health journeys.

This training is catered towards local service providers who want to better understand the nuances of API mental health, shift their approaches, and root their work in liberation and care, but open to anyone interested in learning about the study.

We’ll explore real ways this report can support your work and communities.

📍This training is for service providers (DV response, mental health, cultural, etc.) but open to anyone interested in learning about the study

This year marks the 83rd anniversary of Executive Order 9066, which led to the forced removal and incarceration of more than 125,000 Japanese Americans during World War II by the United States government. For decades, Japanese Americans have raised their voices to say “never again” when our country has been on the precipice of repeating mistakes from the past. On this National Day of Remembrance, in the midst of relentless anti-immigrant attacks that rely upon similar narratives and policies, we are among the 100+ organizations who have joined and in recommitting to community care and solidarity. For Black History Month we are highlighting the framework of Healing Justice, created by Black and Brown organizers at Kindred Southern Healing Justice Collective 🌱
As an organization committed to disrupting systems of violence and building non-carceral networks of care and safety, many of the frameworks we ground in were created by Black folks who have been doing this work for generations.
