Welcome to AU PRIDE! We are American University’s premiere LGBTQ+ student group. We focus on creating safe and inclusive programming for all.

We strive to defend and protect the rights and interests of our members and the American University le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r (LGBTQ+) community as a whole. Qu**rs and Allies is primarily made up of five committees which aim to represent different groups within the Qu**rs and Allies community:

- Q***r and Trans People of Color
- Q***r and Progressive Men
- Q***r Women’s Advocacy

Committee
- Trans and Non-Binary Collective

These committees create fun and educational programming in order to build a safe space for those who identity with the respective communities. The groups hold social outings and events in order to build up the q***r community on campus.

Looking for friends, a community, or a partner? Then come to the AU PRIDE (very late) Valentines-ish Mixer. Come play games, make crafts, eat snacks, and have fun! Valentine's season can seem daunting for people, so we want to provide a safe space to have meeting new people and do some Valentine's crafts!

AU PRIDE is proud to announce the beginning of our QTBIPOC Affinity Groups. They will be held weekly on Thursdays in Batelle Tompkins T10 from 7 pm - 8:15 pm. This is a safe space where you can meet peers and engage in dialogue about your experiences. Join us and for a night of art and food. (Yes we know it’s at dinner time but brinner is not a fun fun name) we invite people to bring art that they’ve made or showcase art that has stuck out to them throughout the year. This art can be physical (canvas paintings, drawings, sculptures), digital art to project, performance art (poetry, music). If you have short films or music, we would love to show those too. Use the link in our bio to register your art and/or rsvp to the event.

join us and for a night of art! please come and share any and all art that you’ve created or that has stuck out to you this year (if you do the latter please make sure to credit the artist). We are looking for physical art (canvas painting, sculpture, etc), digital art to display on the projector, and performance art (poetry, songs, etc).
