🎉 10 YEARS. WE’RE STILL HERE. ❤️‍🔥

Today marks 10 years since the very first DC Music Summit. ❤️🖤

What started in a shared arts space — powered by volunteers, fueled by community, and built by a Black woman who refused to let DC’s music scene be overlooked — has grown into an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting the DMV music ecosystem.

Shoutout to our founder Dior Ashley Brown, co-organizers Aerica Banks and Jonna Humphries, our early volunteers and community members, and to Mousai House and 411 Union Arts Collective — the roots that helped plant this seed. 🌱

From 225 people at our very first conference to a movement uplifting artists, organizers, and industry professionals — we’ve grown, survived, and built together.

This is for every artist who needed a seat at the table.
We built the table. And we’re still building the future.

If you’ve ever attended, performed, volunteered, or supported DCMS, share a memory in the comments. 🙌🏾
