Our Philadelphia Field Canvass, and the rest of the Philadelphia office was hard at work helping candidate Rep. Rabb win his primary race. They spent countless hours knocking on doors and engaging with our members to elect a candidate that will continue to fight for a strong climate agenda. Pictured here are a few folks from the Philadelphia office, including the Field Canvass folks that helped get this work done. Great work all!

Our National Campaigns Team is thrilled to welcome two fellows this summer joining us from the Yale Environmental Fellows Program and the Yale Conservation Scholars Early Leadership Initiative — Brandi Williams and Jagur Parks.

This week we had the opportunity to visit Climate Action Campaign pop-up Museum of Unnatural Disasters. This exhibit highlights how extreme climate events are affecting us all and brings it down to the personal level through artifacts and survivor stories. Check it out on the National Mall through June 14th!

Check out photos from our recent Spring for Water Benefit Bash in Texas! Held at the Gallery at Chez Zee American Bistro in Austin, the event featured special guest speaker, live music, hors d'oeuvres, libations and a live and silent auction.

Many thanks to our special guest speaker Schuyler Wight, a West Texas rancher who has been directly affected by poorly-managed fossil fuel infrastructure, and musical guest, Rob Richardson of The Blues Specialists!

Thank you to everyone who supported this event to benefit Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund campaigns to protect families from toxic chemicals, empower environmental justice communities, support a just transition to clean energy, and improve water and air quality for all residents of Texas.

Flowers bring beauty and grace to our lives. 🌸💧

This Water a Flower Day, Julie Wedge reflects on the joy of slowing down, watering our plants, and appreciating the beauty growing around us through every season.

“At Clean Water Fund, we believe water is life. I believe flowers share hope.”

Whether you live in a house with a garden or a 3rd floor studio with “seemingly no light,” flowers can grow anywhere. And sometimes, taking a moment to “stop and smell the roses” is exactly what we need.

Check out these photos of students from Clean Water Action's Youth Action Collaborative in Massachusetts! This program gives Malden youth the skills and knowledge to stand up for Environmental Justice in their own community. These Malden Public Schools students recently spoke before the City Council in support of efforts to protect their community from toxic pollution and bring climate education to schools. We are so proud of them for speaking out! 💪🌍

Millions of Americans are exposed to toxic PFAS “forever” chemicals through their drinking water.

The EPA’s response? Roll back drinking water protections and delay limits on some of the most dangerous PFAS chemicals linked to cancer, hormone disruption, immune system harm, and other serious health risks.

“This is a direct contradiction of the EPA’s mission to protect human health and the environment,” said Amara Strande’s family in response to the proposal.

Clean Water Action helped pass Amara’s Law in Minnesota, one of the nation’s strongest PFAS bans. We know states can lead. EPA should too.

The EPA is proposing to roll back health-based drinking water limits for toxic PFAS “forever” chemicals and delay protections for two more.

“PFAS have been detected in drinking water nationwide. This proposal completely disregards modern science, the urgency of public health experts recommendations as well as the mounting cost of cleanup. This proposal will put our drinking water and countless lives at risk,” said Cindy Luppi, Clean Water Action's Senior Director for State Policy and Program.

PFAS are linked to serious health problems including immune system harm, hormone disruption, high cholesterol, and cancer. These “forever chemicals” persist in the environment and contaminate drinking water sources across the country.

Clean Water Action is proud to be a leader on this issue, including helping pass Amara’s Law in Minnesota, one of the nation’s strongest bans on PFAS.

We urge EPA to focus on controlling PFAS at the source and eliminating their use wherever possible.

The EPA has proposed rolling back critical wastewater pollution standards for coal-fired power plants.

“Let’s be clear: this is a giveaway to the coal industry that will allow more toxic pollution into our waterways. For too long, the coal industry has not been held accountable for its dangerous wastewater pollution, and now EPA is letting them off the hook once again,” said Julie MacNamara, National Water Projects Coordinator with Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund.

EPA is proposing to let coal-fired power plants avoid cleaning up harmful wastewater pollution at the expense of our drinking water, our health, and our communities. We urge EPA to withdraw this unnecessary proposal.
