Point #1:
The Egyptian Association for Change (EAC) is an Egyptian organization based out of the United States of America. EAC aims to promote and attend to the interests of Egyptian community residing in the Diaspora as well as focusing this community’s supportive efforts both moral and financial to best serve the Egyptian populous. Point #2:
Established in April 2010, the Egyptian Association fo

r Change’s existence was envisioned by Dr. Mohammed El Baradi who spoke for the cause of a true peaceful change for a true democratic transition in Egypt. The group’s founding members were a gathering of volunteers of Egyptian people already living abroad in general; specifically in the United States who went about the process of officially registering the group on its official website. Point #3:
In spite of such history, EAC does not ascribe to any specific (political) ideology. EAC does not endorse or represent any political figure or political party in Egypt. EAC works rather for the collective wellbeing of the Egyptian people. Point #4:
EAC is one of the driving catalytic forces for effecting a (political) reformative conversion in Egypt. Our quintessential principle is the dignity, eminence and liberty of the Egyptian citizen. This would in turn facilitate various public forms of services and the right to an education be fairly rendered unto them, such basic rights of which the government in Egypt should extent to all its citizenry with the intended goal of elevating their standard of living and to empower them to actively participate in public service and to be an effective member in society. Point #5:
The right of every Egyptian to life, to freedom and to dignity is the ethos of EAC. We believe that such a profoundly valuable principle can become reality only by means of a comprehensive overall plan of reform on every level of Egyptian life whether they would entail social, judicial, constitutional or economical reform. Within this convictional framework, EAC convenes all it forums, awareness programs and advertising campaigns aimed solely at raising the overall awareness to the dire need for these reforms using every publically accessed institution such as various media outlets, public opinion in general, and among the ordinary citizenry particularly those who converge upon local and popular venues of assembly for the Egyptian community residing overseas. Point #6:
As a natural manifestation to its philosophy of unwavering objectivity, EAC will never endorse at any official capacity or bestow consensus to any of the following entities; a specific political worldview of any Egyptian public personality, nor will it prescribe to any ideology of any one political party or even to a single Egyptian association for that matter. Such a stance extends out of EAC’s conviction that public service (in a political sense) is an individual civic duty of every Egyptian person and is ultimately aimed at the wellbeing and full renaissance of Egypt, as well as its desire to accommodate a plethora of Egyptian personalities with all the diversity of thought and cultural influences that each of them brings. Point #6 (cont’d):
On the individual member level, every single member of EAC is completely free to choose endorsing their candidate of choice or their preference of political parties which they perceive- according to their own personal opinion- is best for Egypt. Point #7:
Finally, EAC will always accept the role of being the sunshade organization to enhance the furtherance of all communication and joint coordination efforts of any activities between all associations of similar credence. Such activities will in the end fulfill our goal of creating an atmosphere to materialize a substantial ability of influencing the Egyptian political scene. This in turn would eventually help form a biosphere of circumstances and factors and thus sustaining a vigorous environment to ever secure and maintain the prosperous existence of a democratically progressive Egypt.
