Moose International Grants Reopen at the End of June

The Moose International Board of Directors has approved three grant programs for the 2026-27 Moose fiscal year totaling $3,000,000.
Lodge Grant Program
$2.0M is approved for grants that go towards infrastructure and improvement grants intended to make the lodge homes more comfortable and attractive for current and future members. Grants may be issued for up to $25,000 and can be used for projects such as painting, HVAC work, roofing, parking lot refurbishment, landscaping, patios and decks, children’s play equipment, kitchen equipment, social quarters and lodge furniture, etc.
Local Marketing Grant Program
$500,000 is earmarked towards lodges actively promoting themselves within their local communities with the purpose of attracting new members. Projects include, but are not limited to, youth team sponsorships, fair and festival participation, sports days/nights at local ballparks, radio, newspaper or billboard advertising, child or senior ID events, and Tommy Moose BOGO participation. Grants cap at $3,000 per lodge.
Lodge Signage Grant Program
$500,000 is approved for grants to refurbish, update or replace existing permanent signs on or near the lodge property. There is also a $3,000 limit per lodge for this program.
Applications open for all three programs on Monday, June 29th and can only be found on the administrator’s dropdown menu on LCL web. Lodges may apply for one, two or all three of the programs above as long as they meet these minimum requirements:
Attendance at the 2026 International Moose Convention. At least one member representing the lodge needs to be scanned into an official meeting of The Moose in OKC for the lodge to qualify for grant consideration.
Attendance at your Association 2025 Annual Meeting. At least one representative from your lodge must have attended your Association’s 2025 Fall Annual Meeting.
Attendance at your Association 2026 Midyear Meeting. At least one representative from your lodge must have attended your Association’s 2026 Midyear Meeting.
Note that there may be additional requirements (membership, fraternal record, charitable giving, etc.) that may be taken into consideration when evaluating applications.
The Local Marketing and Signage Grant Programs will remain open as long as there are funds available or the fiscal year ends, whichever comes first. The Lodge Grant applications will close on Friday, July 31st.
There will also be a Grant Workshop at 2:30pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (and repeated at 4pm) at the International Moose Convention in OKC that Moose International encourages everyone to attend. Also, the guidelines for each of these programs are attached and may also be found below.

Please make sure that your application review committee is doing their due diligence for the safety of our lodges and our members and not just bypassing this.

Moose International has had quite a few issues with this in the past, which tells us that lodges aren’t checking this, especially the Megan’s Law and for felons that need to get a dispensation approval from the compliance office.

AI Copy Right Moose Logos and Verbiage

Please see the below information that was provided to us by the AD of membership Troy King, regarding AI Generated flyers.

Please make sure that the wording Members and Qualified Guests are on all flyers unless it is an Open to the Public event and the lodge has an approved dispensation on file before any postings in the lodge home or on Social Media.

Too many lodges are posting Open to the Public events prior to getting the proper approved dispensation, which is against the General Laws of Moose International.

From Troy King below:

The use of Moose International logos is protected under copyright and trademark laws. With the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools being utilized to create flyers, posters, social media graphics, advertisements, and other promotional materials, it has become increasingly important to exercise caution when using AI-generated content associated with Moose International.
AI programs often manipulate or alter copyrighted Moose logos, emblems, and branding elements, changing the original appearance and creating confusion regarding what is and is not legitimate Moose International material. Additionally, AI-generated wording may include language or references that are not consistent with the Moose International General Laws, policies, or approved organizational messaging. For example, some AI-generated material may incorrectly reference age requirements or other membership-related standards that conflict with Moose International regulations, including the requirement that members must be 18 years of age or older.

The use of AI as a tool to assist in generating promotional materials is permitted; however, all materials created through AI platforms must be carefully reviewed prior to distribution or publication. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure:

Moose International logos and copyrighted branding are not altered, distorted, or misrepresented.
All wording, terminology, and messaging are accurate and in compliance with the General Laws and Moose International policies.
Content reflects positively and professionally on Moose International and its affiliated organizations.
Materials do not create confusion regarding official Moose International endorsements, programs, or communications.
Careful review and oversight are essential to maintain the integrity, professionalism, and legal protection of Moose International branding and communications.
