PHASE I has been successfully completed, this phase of the project was the engineering phase required by the US Navy for the soil samples, sea wall engineering studies and various other engineering items that were require for approval. Jeff West, the Vice President of the parent organization sponsoring the project said “Costs for this portion of the memorial were approximately $25,000 and was fund

ed by generous donations by a limited number of corporations and private donors”

Mr. West went on to elaborate about the project “PHASE II the funding portion for the creation of the Statue itself is now in progress, this phase is projected to be about $250,000 dollars. This phase will seek donors from fundraising projects, special events and corporate & private donors as well as from the sale of our replica statues”
