The Israel Institute Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship supports rising scholars who want to bring their research to American universities. Fellows teach, publish, and build relationships across U.S. academia while gaining international experience and strengthening their academic profile through a three-year fully funded appointment.

The UCLA Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for Israel Studies will host its online 8th Annual Undergraduate Scholars Conference in Israel Studies on June 17th, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PT).

The conference is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students from any university in the world to present their research on any aspect of modern Israel.

The winner of the Best Paper Award will receive $600, the runner-up will receive $400, and two honorable mentions will receive $150 each.

The Israel Institute supports Israeli scholars teaching courses about Israel at American universities through two flexible programs: the Israel Studies Teaching Supplement and the Visiting Faculty Program. Whether you’re adding a course to a research appointment or teaching during sabbatical, funding is available for formats ranging from short intensives to full semesters.

The Visiting Faculty Program provides grant awards of $16,000 to $20,000 per semester-long course (or $13,000 to $16,000 per 10-week quarter) to support Israeli professors in teaching full-term, in-person, undergraduate courses about Israel in the United States. From Political Science, History, or Jewish Studies to Archaeology, Law, or Business, your expertise is in demand.
