THE POWER OF PATIENCE: OVERCOMING ANGER FROM THE INSIDE OUT

Anger, frustration, and irritation can arise so quickly that they often feel unavoidable. Whether triggered by difficult people, stress, disappointment, or the challenges of daily life, these states of mind rob us of our peace, damage our relationships, and leave us feeling exhausted and unsettled. Although anger may sometimes feel powerful or justified, Buddha taught that it never actually solves our problems—and instead becomes the main cause of our unhappiness.
Patience, on the other hand, is not weakness, repression, or simply “putting up with things.” True patience is a strong, peaceful mind that allows us to remain balanced, clear, and kind even in difficult situations. Through practicing patience, we gradually free ourselves from reactive habits and develop the inner strength to respond wisely instead of emotionally.
In this practical five-week series based on the teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, we will explore Buddhist methods for understanding anger at its root and transforming it into compassion, acceptance, and genuine inner peace. Through guided meditation and practical advice for daily life, we can learn to keep a peaceful heart no matter what challenges arise. Everyone is welcome.
