Green Muslims at the Thrive Center on August 27th! Thrive Center
Join Green Muslims, Green Ramadan and Dialysis to the Docks on Thursday, 27 August for Dhikr on the River, 5:30 to 8PM at Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park in Baltimore, Maryland.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll embark on a skipjack boat for tastes of Islamic meditation:
- a bit of dhikr/ remembrance of Allah,
- tafakkur/ reflection on Allah’s signs in the natural world,
- tadabbur/ deep reflection on a verse from the Quran,
We’ll end with slow, focused, seated movement followed by shared reflections, food and fellowship.
INTENTION
The intention behind this seasonal gathering is to put into practice the command of Allah to remember Him and reflect on His ayaat/ signs in the Quran and the natural world. We’ll contemplate the healing qualities Allah has placed in water while recognizing water as a sign of Allah’s oneness.
We are excited to collaborate with Dialysis to the Docks whose mission is to harness the healing power of water.
