The Philippine Cultural Society at the George Washington University strives to promote Philippine and Philippine-American culture and provides an avenue for community involvement and unity.

Join PCS TODAY, May 2nd in USC 311 at 12 PM! All PCS members are welcome to attend, whether to run for a Board position or just to vote. Nominations will be done in person at elections, followed by approval or rejection by the nominated candidate. The candidate, if they choose to accept the nomination, will give a 1-2 minute speech (might be more, depending on the position) and answer a short Q&A section from the audience. You may run for MULTIPLE positions. Then all candidates for a given position will leave the room and votes will be conducted, usually by blind hand raising/google from. ALL POSITIONS for Board will be open, so come if you have any interest! These positions include: President, Vice President, Culture Coordinator, Treasurer, Advocacy Director, Historian, Public Relations Director, Athletics Director, and Secretariat! ATTENTION PCS, FAM, AND FRIENDS!! Tandaan season is around the corner, and we are excited to invite you to Tandaan XXVI Strike and Honor! This year’s theme is Malakas at Marangal, Strength and Dignity.

Tandaan will be on Sunday April 26th! Dinner will be served at 5PM in USC 309, with the show proceeding at 6PM in the Continental Ballroom.

PCS has been working hard to prepare this showcase for our community, and we would love if you could be part of that!

See you in April, we promise you won’t be dissapointed!

FAITH HEALERS is the untold history of Filipino doctors who left their homeland to care for Americans. Through the life of Dr. Zorayda Lee-Llacer, we witness an immigrant’s journey and her many contributions to American healthcare. By exploring the complicated colonial history between the USA and the Philippines, we grasp the enormity of the challenges and achievements of a vibrant Filipino American community that grew just outside the nation’s capital in Prince George’s County, MD.

GWUPCS is hosting a screening of the film on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at 6 pm, in the University Student Center, 3rd floor amphitheater space. Tickets are $5, paid at the door, and go towards the production of our Spring show: Tandaan.
