GW Women in Business (GWWIB) aims to form a network of career-oriented guidance for its members. Careers. Connections. Community.

GWWIB welcomes undergraduate women of all majors and grade levels to join our organization. GWWIB is an affiliate of the Undergraduate Business Association. GWWIB offers myriad opportunities for young women to become involved through events including leadership opportunities, a mentorship program, motivational speaker series, business basics seminar, interviewing workshops, résumé workshops, and on-site visits to firms in the Washington, DC and New York City areas.

Alumni Brunch: Connect, Share, Inspire! We’re excited to launch our Alumni Brunch Series, a new initiative designed to connect current students and members with accomplished professionals in the DC area. The brunch will feature an engaging discussion followed by informal networking, creating space for meaningful conversations about career paths, industry insights, and life after GW. We would love to welcome students to connect with alumni and hear their experiences, advice, and perspective. Please join us for a brunch, on Saturday April 18th in Duques 451. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming brunch!

Inclusive Pathways: Redefining the route to success. Join us this April 15th, from 6:30pm-7:30pm in Funger 108! We’re aiming to create a conversation around navigating careers, building meaningful networks, and creating opportunity in today’s evolving business landscape. The panel will explore how different perspectives and experiences contribute to stronger teams, more equitable workplaces, and long-term success. You will be able to gain incredible insights from amazing professionals and their experiences!

Join GWWIB for a relaxing and fun Sunset Picnic 🌅. This event will is a great opportunity to meet and get to know the E-Board. Whether you’re new or already involved, come out, bring a friend, and enjoy the sunset with us. We’ll have tons of food and refreshments 🍓🥪🥤 and good music 🎶. Don’t forget to bring your own blanket 🧺.

The 17th annual Spring Conference will be held on April 11th, 2026 with the theme being Invent. Our mission is to empower everyone to invent themselves and their futures by providing the tools and insights that will shape what they do next!

Join GWWIB and WIFA for an interactive workshop focused on careers in finance and consulting. The event will feature alumni who will share insights into their career paths, industry experiences, and advice for students interested in these fields. Attendees will rotate through breakout-style discussions with each speaker, allowing for small-group conversations and the opportunity to ask specific questions.

The DC Trek is a day-long networking event offering GWWIB members the opportunity to visit 4 companies across Washington, DC and Virginia. Through these site visits, attendees will gain insight into a variety of industries, network with professionals, and explore potential career paths through panel discussions and Q&A sessions. Join GW Women in Business for GBM #3: Elevate Your LinkedIn and Networking Skills! This GBM is all about helping you strengthen your professional presence and build confidence in your networking abilities. We’ll be joined by a representative from the Fowler Career Center, who will share valuable insights on effective networking and resources. In addition, through our LinkedIn mini-workshop, members can get practical, hands-on tips for enhancing their profiles - whether you’re creating one for the first time or refining your existing page. The 2025 GWWIB New York Trip has officially wrapped up! This year, our members visited EY, Ogilvy, BlackRock, the New York Stock Exchange, and Dior, taking part in engaging panels and in-depth site tours while fostering meaningful connections within the GWWIB community.

A huge thank you to the GWSB alumni that joined us at the networking dinner, your advice and industry experience made a lasting impact. We’re also incredibly grateful to all the companies that hosted us this year for welcoming our members and sharing your expertise.

Finally, thank you to our attendees for your enthusiasm and professionalism, and to the New York Trip team for organizing such an impactful experience.
