"(I was) hyper-focused on my mom's needs, not my needs. I don't think I saw down the road," says Judith Sherwood, 62. Following the death of her mother, Judith is currently facing foreclosure on the family home due to debt tied to a reverse mortgage.

And unfortunately, she's not alone. Nearly half of all family caregivers experience financial strain, according to AARP research.
