Through the Mayor's Charity Ball and Healthy Snack Program, Local 1763 members have helped raise nearly $750,000, supporting more than 3,000 students and families in Delta.

🕊️ Today, we remember 15th District Vice President Emeritus Jim Fennell, who died June 13 at the age of 81.

Jim spent 34 years with the Saint John Fire Department and nearly three decades as 15th District Vice President, leaving behind a legacy that continues to strengthen the fire service across the Atlantic Provinces.

Our thoughts are with the Fennell family and all who knew him.

Services are planned for June 17 and 18 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

James “Jim” Fennell, who was known for his unwavering dedication to the IAFF and its members, died June 13. The 15th District Vice President Emeritus was 81.

🚑🔥 Houston's population is growing. But investments in public safety aren't keeping pace.

A new study found the city needs 65 additional ambulances and 10 new fire stations to meet rising call volumes and keep residents safe.

"They are real investments that have to be focused on, and we want to have those dialogues and conversations in an open way with the public," said Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association President Marty Lancton.
