The Hispanic Heritage Foundation joined AT&T to lead digital learning workshops using , where youth also explored AI prompting and coding fundamentals, building essential future ready skills.

A huge congratulations to our own Antonio Tijerino President & CEO of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, who will be presented with the Royal Order of Isabel la Católica (Real Orden de Isabel la Católica), one of Spain’s highest honors.

“I am profoundly honored and humbled by this tremendous recognition, but mostly I consider the ‘Real Orden’ as a challenge to build stronger cultural and service driven bridges between Spain and Hispanic communities across the Americas,” said Tijerino.

This distinction recognizes an individual’s impact and service to Spain and their contribution to strengthening international relations.

More than 125 adult learners at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School in Washington, DC joined us yesterday for , powered by AT&T.

From mentorship and career exploration to workforce development and digital skill-building through AT&T's The Achievery platform, learners explored new opportunities and resources designed to support their long-term academic and professional goals.

We also heard powerful stories of resilience, perseverance, and determination from a panel of industry leaders who shared their journeys and insights.

Empowered by AT&T, our Navigating Your Academic and Professional Future summit brought together 350+ brilliant students from CIMATEC, a model STEM school on the island, and Colegio Puertorriqueño de Niñas, a school founded by women that has been educating young girls for over a century.

After the deployment of ICE in Minneapolis earlier this year, communities were living through something headlines couldn’t fully capture.

Families in fear.
Businesses shutting down.
Neighborhoods forced into survival mode.

In response, a delegation of national Latino leaders traveled to Minnesota to listen, to witness, and to stand alongside community leaders already doing the work every day.

In this episode of the , host Antonio Tijerino sits down with Minneapolis community leaders - Henry Jiménez (President & CEO, Propel Nonprofits), Carolina Ortiz (Associate Executive Director, COPAL MN), and Rev. Hierald Osorto (Lead Pastor, St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Iglesia Luterana San Pablo) - as they share what was witnessed on the ground, how their communities responded in real time, and the longer-term implications for the communities they serve.

Last week, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation celebrated its 27th National Youth Awards in Puerto Rico, spotlighting young leaders from across the United States and elevating the island’s role in national conversations around leadership, culture, and innovation.

Two major Puerto Rican highlights stood out!

Álvaro Díaz, the first-ever recipient of the Huella Award, honored for his artistic impact and his commitment to empowering new generations.

Hugo Córdova de Varona, a student at Colegio San Ignacio in San Juan, named the national recipient in the Green category, presented by The Coca-Cola Company.

The celebration, also supported by the Transportation Institute and Grupo 21, recognized outstanding youth across multiple fields:

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is thrilled to host the 27th Annual National Youth Awards Ceremony in San Juan, Puerto Rico, honoring 3X Latin GRAMMY–nominated Puerto Rican artist Álvaro Díaz, one of the most compelling voices shaping the future of Latin urban music, alongside six remarkable National Youth Awardees from across the country.

“Álvaro represents the spirit, creativity, and authenticity that is shaping our community and America,” shared HHF President & CEO Antonio Tijerino. “He is an embodiment of what is possible through his music and serves as a role model for youth, including the young honorees who will be recognized with him at the National Youth Awards ceremony. The Huella Award represents the unique imprint he has made on our youth, community and country.”
