It's official! We have won the Malcolm Lewis IMPACT Award! Thank you for to everyone who helped make this happen by liking our project on the USGBC page. With this grant, we can continue greening the Calvary Women’s Services facility.

Out Project:
USGBC National Capital Region is proud to be partnered with Calvary Women’s Services in an effort to green their facility in Southeast Washington, D.C. Calvary is a nonprofit that empowers homeless women by providing housing, healthcare, employment, and education. Their facility serves as a transitional home for 40 women and provides a space for programming.
To date, our Emerging Professionals have dedicated over two hundred volunteer hours and secured several thousand dollars of in-kind service and material donations.
Some highlights include:
• A full energy audit and report
• A lighting audit and retrofit
• An indoor air quality assessment
• Utility price optimization
• Landscape design consultation
• Clothing for the women of Calvary, donated by Patagonia
