HUAC Colorado hosted our Freshman Bison Send‑Off at Mile High HBCU Weekend, bringing together HU ’30 students, families, and alumni under the Howard Bison tent to celebrate the journey from the Mile High City to The Mecca. From hugs and advice to snacks and photos, this is what our Bison family looks like in Colorado.

Our Colorado Bison Freshman Send-Off is this Saturday, July 25th, from 1–3 PM at Central Park in Denver. We are preparing to welcome 36 incoming Howard students, and alumni support will make this event even stronger.

Please RSVP, share the event, and consider donating or volunteering if you are able. This is a meaningful chance to support our students and strengthen the future of HUAA Colorado.

Bison family, we need your support.

As we prepare for the Colorado Bison Freshman Send-Off on July 25th, the Howard University Alumni Club of Colorado is asking for donations to help cover snacks, drinks, and small send-off items for our incoming students.

Our club is rebuilding with new leadership and renewed momentum, and one of the clearest ways to strengthen the chapter is by showing up for our students well. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us create a warm and memorable experience for the 36 Colorado students beginning their Howard journey this fall.

Colorado Bison family, we’re getting ready to welcome 36 incoming Howard University students at our Colorado Bison Freshman Send‑Off on Saturday, July 25 from 1–3 pm at Central Park in Denver.

This is a chance for Future Bison and families to meet local alumni, ask questions about life at The Mecca, and feel the strength of our Colorado Bison community before they arrive on campus. As HUAA Colorado rebuilds with new leadership, events like this help us reconnect and support the next generation.

A percentage of all attendee food and beverage purchases will be donated by Tom's Watch Bar - Coors Field to support our Baby Bison Scholarship Fund, helping future Howard students on their journey to the Mecca. We will also have raffle tickets for some fun door prizes!
