Join us on May 15, 2026, for the Joint Nakba Remembrance Ceremony, hosted by our partners at

This year’s theme—“Sumud in Humanity”—speaks to remaining rooted, maintaining dignity, and preserving one’s humanity even when both history and present realities put it to the test.

True peace can only emerge when all people are free, and the humanity of everyone is upheld without exception.

Last week, the Supreme Court rolled back key provisions to the Voting Rights Act that had provided access to the ballot and protections to many citizens who had experienced discrimination through an array of legal and technical barriers.

This ruling didn’t happen in a vacuum. It lands directly on the work Annie Lee Cooper, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and countless others devoted their lives to. As we lament this ruling, we do not despair. As peacemakers, we know that the structures of injustice built over centuries don’t disappear overnight—and it will take all of us to bend the long arc of the universe towards justice.

We’re grateful for those still with us who can speak from lived experience—who remind us that this work was never meant to be finished in a single generation. Vigilance isn’t optional. Justice isn’t a destination.

We carry this forward not just in memory, but in how we are formed and how we act. Every day is another call to keep showing up.📣

Christian leaders are being asked to respond to the devastation in Gaza and deepening divisions here in the U.S.—but many are still asking what faithful action actually looks like.

The Fierce Urgency of Now: An Advocacy Gathering (June 10–12 in Washington, D.C.) is designed to answer that question.

Over three days, pastors and leaders will engage in advocacy training, theological reflection, and direct action on Capitol Hill—leaving with practical next steps for leading in their own communities.
This is not a passive experience. It’s a space for those ready to move from conviction into action.

Pierre al-Rahi*. Mahdi Rihane*. Khatoon Salma Kershet*. Talin Ahmed Hamzi*.

Each one an entire universe. Every one of the thousands killed since Israel’s attacks on Lebanon began in February was someone’s whole world.

As peacemakers, we know that violence only begets further violence. This doesn’t make anyone safer. We must say “enough”.

Last week, a Senate vote challenged continued U.S. weapons sales to Israel—nearly every Senate Democrat voted in favor.

With a tentative ceasefire now in place, Israeli and Lebanese officials are meeting in DC for diplomatic talks.

The tides are shifting. Continue speaking up. Keep calling your Member of Congress and pressing for justice and peace.
