North Carolina students are making their voices heard.

On Wednesday, September 30, Fair Elections Center, in partnership with NC A&T NAACP and Protect Ours, will bring students and community members together at North Carolina A&T State University for the North Carolina Student Civic Rally!

This student centered gathering will create space to talk about voting access, the barriers students are facing, and the solutions they want to see, while connecting today’s fight for voting rights to the history of student-led civic engagement in Guilford County and North Carolina.

Most importantly, we want to hear directly from students.

Fair Elections Center is excited to celebrate Disability Voting Rights Week with our friends at the American Association of People with Disabilities!

We’re inspired this week (and every week!) by Kayley Bell, a Campus Vote Project alum and the current Voting Outreach Specialist with Disability Rights Wisconsin. Kayley is making our democracy more accessible everyday by speaking directly to voters through DRW’s accessibility hotline and creating civic engagement resources for people with disabilities and those who support them.

Meet Khalil! 🌟

Khalil Hinson is the State Lead in Georgia for Fair Elections Center's Campus Vote Project. For over two years, he's mentored dozens of Democracy Fellows as they register and educate their peers on campuses across Georgia, helping them to institutionalize democratic engagement at Georgia colleges at universities alongside campus administrators. When he's not at work, Khalil can be found binging House of the Dragon or hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains with his family.
