He lost his job.

Faced losing his home.

Had five kids counting on him.

A $3,500 grant from the LOVE Fund covered his rental fees and down payment.

He signed the lease.

His kids came home on weekends.

Most housing strategies focus on solely veterans. The LOVE Fund focuses on landlords too.

Because if landlords won't open their doors, veterans can't get through them.

By addressing risk, reducing barriers, and building real relationships with property owners, LOVE has brought 150+ landlords across metro Atlanta to the table.

That's how you expand housing access. That's LOVE. → https://bit.ly/LOVEFundGuide-nchv

We're 7.1 million affordable housing units short nationwide. We can't build our way out of this fast enough.

Communities need tools that work right now. Tools that engage landlords, remove barriers, and get veterans housed.

That's exactly what LOVE does. → https://bit.ly/LOVEFundGuide-nchv

This spring, we had the privilege of working with Ricardo Munoz as our Policy Fellow at NCHV.

Ricardo played an important role in supporting our grassroots advocacy work, helping connect policy to real-world impact in the effort to end veteran homelessness.

We’re grateful for the time, energy, and perspective he brought to the team. Thank you, Ricardo, for your contributions and commitment to this work.

Wishing you continued success in what’s ahead.

As we reflect on National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we honor NCHV’s founders, Vietnam veterans whose service did not end after the Vietnam War.

They saw the challenges veterans faced when returning home and took action, starting the work to address veteran homelessness and advocate for those too often left behind.

Their efforts laid the foundation for a national movement. Today, that work continues through the leadership, partnerships, and progress built over the years.

We honor their service, their vision, and the path they created for all of us to carry forward.

This weekend marked National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the millions of Americans who served during the Vietnam War.

We recognize not only their service in uniform, but the challenges many faced when they returned home. Today, and every day, we remain committed to ensuring all veterans have access to the housing, support, and dignity they have earned.

Join us in honoring Vietnam veterans and reaffirming our commitment to ending veteran homelessness.
