On October 17th we have the opportunity to come together as a community and elevate pediatric care for every child. Every year, Children’s National Hospital hosts an incredible 5k run/walk,and kids dash for ages 3-10, bringing together thousands of patient families, friends, and support systems to unite our community and raise funds for world-class care and research. It all starts with a single step.

This year, Mended Little Hearts of Washington, DC is building a team of heart families and supporters with a goal of raising $10,000 for the Mended Little Hearts Special Purpose Fund. Every dollar raised directly supports heart patients and their families through resources, programs, and community support. Registration is free until October 11th! Calling all soccer fans!! ⚽ We have a unique opportunity to meet 2 former German national team soccer players, one of whom has a congenital heart defect. The details of the event are still being determined, but it will be the morning of Tuesday, May 26, at a park in Arlington, VA. If you and your kiddo can attend, please write in the comments how many people in your family can make it, so we can get rough numbers. The event is free and will consist of a talk from the players followed by a soccer clinic. Hope you can make it! 🥅
