Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced changes coming to defense communities last week, including the FORTRESS America and Great American Base initiatives. Department of War leaders will be attending Installation Innovation Forum this month, sharing the plan for communities moving forward.

Members of the ADC team recently went to Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana, to film at the Great American Defense Community and get a sense of the area alongside representatives from program partner Sourcewell. The team visited Bossier High School, Flying Heart Brewery, and the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival to learn what makes Shreveport-Bossier a great American defense community.
