Democracy demands accountability. Our constitutional rights must be protected.
The Congressional Black Caucus Institute (CBCI) has issued an official statement expressing deep concern over the reported federal law enforcement raid on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s home and the broader implications for political intimidation, due process, and democratic accountability.
No American should face intimidation because of their political beliefs, background, faith, or willingness to challenge those in power.
As we approach the November 3 midterm elections, CBCI emphasizes the importance of transparency, equal protection under the law, and safeguarding the democratic institutions that serve us all.
