Africa Faith & Justice Network

Africa Faith & Justice Network AFJN is the only Catholic faith-based pan-African, issue-driven advocacy group in Washington.

Inspired by the Gospel and informed by Catholic Social Teaching, the Africa Faith and Justice Network seeks to educate and advocate for just Africa-US relations that empower Africans to be agents of their own destiny, thriving in a just and equitable society.

CHILDHOOD IS NOT FOR MARRIAGE

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, grow, and reach their full potential. Sadly, child marriage continues to rob many young girls and boys of their education, health, freedom, and future.

A child is not a bride.
A child is not a groom.
A child is a student, a dreamer, a leader in the making.

As communities of faith and justice, we must stand together to protect our children from harmful practices and ensure they enjoy their fundamental rights to education, safety, dignity, and equal opportunities.

Let us raise our voices against child marriage and support policies and actions that empower children to thrive.

Together, we can end child marriage and create a society where every child is free to dream, learn, and succeed.
