Louis Vuitton is one of the last major fashion brands still yet to go fur-free. The brand is owned by fashion behemoth, LVMH, which also owns Fendi and Dior, and even though the company hasn't taken a stand against fur cruelty (yet!), it is encouraging that they are starting to use bio-based faux fur alternatives.

Is this the first step to a fur-free policy from LVMH? We hope so!🤞

Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton recently used plant-based fur from BioFluff's Savian range at Paris Fashion Week 2026

Residents of Mashpee, Massachusetts will vote on May 4 to make their community the ninth in the state to ban the sale of animal fur.

Following California's fur ban in 2019, Massachusetts is now the third largest seller of fur products in the country, only behind New York and Texas.

Mashpee town meeting will not only focus on the fur trade, it will also ask residents to spend millions on wastewater projects and school upgrades

"Such a measure would not only end the needless suffering of millions of animals, but also free up resources for more productive, humane, and sustainable forms of agriculture. It would protect public health, bolster rural economies, and reflect the values of a modern, compassionate Europe."

They must choose either to respect public opinion, which overwhelmingly favours an EU-wide ban on fur farming, or to establish minimum ‘welfare standards’ that would permit a small minority of producers in a few Member States to continue caging mink, foxes, raccoon dogs, and chinchillas for thei...

"The remaining fur farms are in a bad financial state and need a just transition...For an industry famously criticised for its cruelty, a state-supported exit offers something unexpected: a compassionate end."

How do we truly measure an industry’s contribution to society? Typically, we look at the balance sheet — the revenues and costs that form a standard financial account.
