NATA’s Day on the Hill brought the value, expertise, and commitment of our membership directly to Capitol Hill.

Thank you to our members, Board of Directors, and staff for lifting the voice of aviation businesses directly to lawmakers. Together, NATA advocates met with more than 60 congressional offices across 20 states, sharing real-world perspectives on the issues affecting general aviation, air charter, FBOs, maintenance, airports, workforce, safety, security, and the communities we serve.

We are grateful to the Members of Congress and their staff who took time to meet with us and hear directly from the businesses that keep their communities moving every day.

Together, we demonstrated the power of advocacy—showing up with purpose, strengthening relationships, and ensuring aviation businesses have a meaningful voice in the conversations shaping our industry’s future.

Vehicle movement on the ramp may seem routine, but every movement is consequential when aircraft, equipment, people, weather, and operational pressure intersect.

In the May issue of AvBuyer, NATA’s Shannon Chambers and Brandon Popovich coauthor “Mindful Vehicle Movement on the Ramp Is Essential to Safe Operations,” highlighting why ramp driving must be treated as a core part of operational safety.

The article reinforces practical steps every FBO and airport service provider can strengthen: trained and authorized drivers, vehicle-specific instruction, pre-use inspections, predictable movement patterns, right-of-way discipline, speed control, and reduced distractions.

Thank you to Firecrown and AvBuyer for featuring this important Safety 1st perspective and helping keep ramp safety front and center for the aviation business community.

NATA welcomed members of its Air Charter Committee to Chicago yesterday for a productive meeting and thoughtful conversations ahead of today’s Air Charter Forum, hosted and supported by Priester Aviation and sponsored by AirTera, a service mark of NATA Compliance Services.

The evening provided a great opportunity for meaningful discussion, strong camaraderie, and connection among committee members, partners, and the NATA team as we prepare for a day focused on the issues shaping the air charter community.
