We are devastated to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton was a role model to me and from her I learned the importance of giving back to your community. Investing in our children and providing them with the education they need to change the world for the better. Dolly’s passing is a great loss to humanity, but her legacy will live on forever.

At the last Elsmere Volunteer Cleanup Crew clean up, we collected a LOT of trash! But there was one item that caught my eye. It was a beautiful 3D printed art piece. I took it home, cleaned it up, and turned it into a key holder!

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Due to the weather forecast on Saturday, we have decided to move the August 22nd cleanup to September 5th. This gives ample time for folks to get this message.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly. See you in September!

SEE SOMETHING? SAY SOMETHING!

Protecting Elsmere’s storm drains and waterways isn’t just a job for the Town; our residents can help, too!

302 STOPPIT is a reporting hotline that residents can use to report suspected illegal dumping or other activities that could pollute our stormwater system.

What should you look out for? Things like:
-Dumping trash, debris or yard waste near or into storm drains
-Pouring oil, chemicals, paint or other liquids into drains
-Suspicious discharges or unusual liquids flowing into the street or stormwater system
-Illegal dumping that could eventually make its way into our waterways
-Any activity you believe may be contributing to stormwater pollution

Storm drains are designed to carry rainwater away from our streets and unlike wastewater that travels through a treatment system, stormwater can flow directly into local waterways. That means pollution on our streets can become pollution in our streams and rivers.

If you see something that doesn’t look right, don’t assume someone else has already reported it.

📞 Call (302) STOPPIT to report suspected illegal dumping or pollution.

A simple phone call can help us identify problems sooner, protect our local waterways and keep Elsmere clean. đź’§
