Standard registration for the 2026 WACA National Conference closes October 15!

This November, hear from an exceptional lineup of speakers, exchange perspectives with leading international affairs experts, and meet Council leaders and professionals from across the country. Full registration includes our Diplomats Coffee Hour with representatives from more than a dozen countries, visits to prominent D.C. think tanks, author meet-and-greets and book signings, receptions and dinners, an awards ceremony, Leadership Day, additional sessions, complimentary merchandise, and much more.

New this year: Discounted ticket options for those unable to attend the full conference:

- Thursday, November 19: A single-day ticket featuring plenary sessions, breakfast and lunch, think tank visits, networking opportunities, and an evening reception.

- Wednesday, November 18: A separate ticket to the Opening Reception & Dinner.

Register by October 15 to lock in standard registration rates before they increase!

The Academic WorldQuest Official Toolkit is now available on our website!

Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) is a youth education and trivia competition that inspires high school students representing communities across the US to embrace a culture of global engagement. Our councils host local competitions, and winning teams are invited to Washington, D.C., to compete in our national championships, April 12-13, 2027!

Students and high school teachers can connect with a council near you to get involved!

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Student Scholars Program!

The World Affairs Councils of America (WACA) Student Scholars Program gives 25 undergraduate students from Council communities the opportunity to attend WACA’s National Conference in Washington, D.C., and participate in exclusive programming, including visits to embassies, think tanks, international organizations, and more.

Through these experiences, Student Scholars explore careers in international affairs, build their networks, and take important next steps in their education and careers.

Welcome to the WACA team, Amelia! Amelia joins us as our Digital Resources intern for the Spring 2023 semester. Amelia is a senior at Georgetown University, she is majoring in Chinese and Psychology. Her interests center around integrating psychology and East Asian studies into national security practices. Amelia speaks Mandarin and aims to utilize this skill in her pursuit of a career in national security and a Master's degree in international relations or East Asian studies.
