Introducing the theme for Creating Change
Radical Imagination: Building Our Destiny. ✊🏾🌈
This theme is a bold invitation to dream beyond the limits of the world as it exists today. It calls on us to take collective responsibility for creating the future we know is possible.
Progress has never come from accepting the status quo. It has come from q***r wisdom, q***r imagination, and communities courageous enough to envision something better and determined enough to build it together.
For generations, LGBTQ+ people, Two-Spirit people, immigrants, workers, artists, people of faith, and organizers have helped move this country closer to its ideals. We are our ancestors' wildest dreams, carrying forward the hope they imagined and the work they left in our hands.
The attacks we face today are not evidence of our weaknesses. They are evidence of our power.
This theme energizes our new strategic vision for Democracy, Economy, and Care. Radical imagination is what allows us to envision those possibilities.
Building our destiny is how we make them real. Creating Change is where that work comes together.
