Started in 1978 to provide a means for the exchange of information and ideas as well as educational opportunities for its members and the public. Opening this page is part of an ongoing effort to build a strong community in the Guild. Here we can share information, ideas, publicize events. This page will help us to communicate with each other on a regular basis and help to make the Guild a vibrant

Meet Jeff Bulman, a self-taught jeweler who discovered a passion for metalsmithing in his late seventies—and found a creative pursuit that continues to inspire him.

Working from his home studio several days a week, Jeff transforms silver, gold and gemstones into one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces, continually exploring new techniques and expanding his skills. For him, jewelry making is more than a craft: it is a source of creativity, friendship, discovery, and the simple satisfaction of making something by hand.

A wonderful reminder that creativity has no age limit—and it’s never too late to discover a new passion. Congratulations Jeff! We are so happy to have you in our guild!

From July 6th through July 10th, 2026, Tina Chisena Tina Chisena will be teaching a class on Sawing and Piercing for Jewelers. The class will meet each morning from 9 am until 11:45 am. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced jewelers alike. For beginners, all sawing basics (such as blade selection, loading the saw frame, and proper tensioning of the saw blade) will be thoroughly explained and demonstrated. For those jewelers with more experience, she will be covering how to saw on three-dimensional forms, as well as some tactics for doing layout and design for 3D forms. All students will be doing hands on and carefully directed work. Other topics may include how to use sawing to aid with set ups for fabrication and soldering, or sawing in ways to set up interesting 3D forming from flat sheets. (see photos).
