Brunch plans this weekend? We’ve got you covered! 🍳🥂

Our longtime Capitol Hill neighbor Mr. Henry's is teaming up with Everyone Home DC for an incredible seventh year of brunching for the September Challenge—and this year is extra special as Mr. Henry’s celebrates 60 years in the community! 🎉

Join us Saturday, September 19 + Sunday, September 20 from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM. Gather your friends, enjoy a great meal, and take on the Challenge simply by showing up: a portion of the weekend’s proceeds will support Everyone Home DC.

Dine-in and carry-out orders are eligible, so however you brunch, it counts. 💙

See you at Mr. Henry’s!

The DC Council is set to vote on the FY27 budget on Tuesday, 6/9! As it stands right now, this budget contains large spending pressures in critical housing programs and includes no new housing options to help our chronically homeless neighbors to exit homelessness. NOW is the time to tell our elected officials that we care about ending homelessness in DC and they must prioritize housing to end homelessness in the FY27 budget.

📣 Take Action with The Way Home: Ending Chronic Homelessness in DC Call the DC Council and tell them they must prioritize funding housing vouchers in the FY27 Budget! https://www.thewayhomedc.org/take-action

OTHER ACTIONS:
📣 Take Action with DC Action, DC Fiscal Policy Institute, DC Jobs with DC Jobs With Justicece, and the Fair Budget Coalition! This is a simple email action that urges the DC Council to raise revenue to fund programs that support our neighbors, including housing to end homelessness, child care, paid family leave, health care, cash assistance (TANF), and food support. https://actionnetwork.org/letters/protect-dc-families-and-pass-a-budget-that-reflects-dc-values

Join us on Tuesday, 5/12, at 10:00 in front of the Wilson Building to urge the council to fund Permanent Supportive Housing in next year’s budget, and we need you there! Our very own Imani Grant is going to speak alongside many other experts who will share how harmful it will be to go another year without new housing options.

Meet Elizabeth, an Everyone Home DC super supporter! Elizabeth and her family understand the importance of the work Everyone Home DC does alongside people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness throughout the District, which is why she has chosen to be a member of our GoodNeighbor Circle for the past six years.

Our GoodNeighbor Circle members are part of a monthly giving community who believe in Everyone Home DC’s mission and provide steady, reliable support to our organization. Now more than ever, that kind of support is crucial to ensuring that homelessness is brief and nonrecurring for anyone who experiences it.
