I grow to appreciate “I Have a Dream” more and more with each passing year and with every listen. Talk about a READ, okay! Iconic, and unfortunately still evergreen. Today I wrote about MLK’s ongoing urgent collective call to action.

Tacos & Ice Cream: An Evening of Food, Fun, & Fundraising with SWT 🌮🍦

On August 19th, we’re taking over two of our favorite Eastern Market spots and turning dinner into a fundraiser.

Start at District Taco in Eastern Market from 4 PM until close. Use code DTFUN or just mention SWT at the register and 20% of your order supports our work.

Then walk it off, seven minutes down to Jeni’s on Barracks Row, open for us from 4 to 7 PM. No code needed there, a percentage from every purchase in the shop during that window comes back to SWT. Try our featured pairing, Brown Buttered & Beloved, made just for the night.🤎

Will you be starring with Tacos or Ice Cream?!

See y’all this Saturday at Lee’s!

In America, being well costs. Starting With Today tries to help alleviate some of the financial burden to access wellness practitioners, so our community doesn’t have to choose between care and everything else.

Swipe through. Pull up. Support. 💛

Stopped by Lee’s Barbershop a couple weeks ago to check in and ask for the next topic. Perfect topic: Shaping Future Generations. This community convo will be led by licensed therapist Ty Watkins, LCSW-C. Meet us at 202-575-5110 next Saturday!

As always free & open to the community. 🖤💛
