The Mu Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 20, 1975 as the first NPHC organization on George Washington's campus by nine visionary young women:

Bold, bigger, and better than ever, our chapter will take the stage alongside other organizations in this year’s Stroll Off titled “The Empire: We Were, We Are, WE WILL BE!”

This event is presented in collaboration with the Black Heritage Celebration Committee and GW Fraternity & Sorority Life. You won’t want to miss it, and we can’t wait to see you there!

The Mu Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. would like to thank everyone who supported us throughout the Fall 2025 semester and in closing out the 50th Charter anniversary.

Starting off strong, we began the fall semester with our annual event, Girl Code. We were also able to impact our community through a voter education and registration drive, Stepping Up to The Polls. And a school supply drive for elementary school students, Starting off Ready.

In October we partnered with Toastmasters International for a motivating public speaking event, SpeakHer Up!

In November we hosted a panel discussion, Unraveling Education, discussing the structural changes and significant rollbacks within education. We happily partnered with the Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD) for a necessary conversation on the importance of education policy and advocacy within academic spaces. We continued our semester with impactful service initiatives in partnership with DC Public Schools.

As we look ahead to the spring, we are excited to continue nurturing the legacy of committed and dedicated service of the Mu Beta Chapter to the GW community and wider DC community.
