Exciting news! Our PeacePlayers Brooklyn site is one of 20 organizations nationwide to receive a grant from the and Foot Locker Foundation Community Empowerment Program, which supports the well-being of young people and builds the capacity of local nonprofits that serve them.

With this grant, we’ll be able to continue to amplify our impact in Brooklyn and advance our movement for peace through the transformational power of sport 🏀❤️

Join us for a jam-packed MLK Weekend honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the power of basketball.

Jan 16th: High school LDP participants and PeacePlayers alumni team up with Nike for an invite-only experience that begins with a reflection on Dr. King’s life, commitments to building stronger communities, followed by on court basketball game play.🔥

Jan 17th: Community Day at Brooklyn Training Facility (11 AM–4 PM), open to youth in grades 3–12! Players will take part in on-court and off-court activities focused on fun, connection, and community. (Registration in bio)

Jan 19th: Our first annual 3v3 fundraiser, Battle of the Brands (1–4 PM). Come watch teams compete For Peace in support of our mission.

We look forward to pushing Dr. King’s legacy forward by bringing people together, on and off the court.

March Madness is almost here, and we have an incredible opportunity to harness the excitement of college basketball to fuel PeacePlayers’ mission💪
Our goal is to get at least 500 people to join the PeacePlayers Play for Peace Bracket Challenge—but with your help, we know we can go even bigger!
This isn’t just about filling out a bracket. It’s about building bridges, creating opportunities, and empowering young leaders through basketball. And this year, it’s FREE to play🔥

🏀 Play for free—but we encourage you to make a donation to PeacePlayers! While there’s no cost to enter, your support helps provide mentorship, leadership training, and the power of sport to young people in communities that need it most. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference!

🌟🏀 Exciting news! The and PeacePlayers Detroit are teaming up for Pistons for Peace — a 6-week initiative aimed at fostering understanding, collaboration, and non-violence in metro-Detroit communities.

Through basketball and educational workshops, youth, community leaders, and Detroit Neighborhood Police Officers will come together to build skills in conflict resolution, leadership, and more. Together, let’s create a safer and more united Detroit, one session at a time.

PeacePlayers joined Box United on Saturday at their first annual Chicago Girls in Sport Day. 100 girls from Chicago spent the day trying new sports and we had a great time introducing the game of basketball! 🏀🤝🏽

“A team that serves together, stays together” - Coach Lae

Today , PeacePlayers BK partnered with New Lots Community Church for our fourth annual “Teamsgiving” event. Together we took part in a service project where our high school LDP participants assisted the church in their annual food and clothing drive by setting up the stations for the day and giving away clothing and food to the local East NY community. (Special S’O to our Nike SOHO partners for donating clothing and toiletries to the community!❤️) . After serving, we celebrated our work by taking part in fun on court basketball competitions and ended the day with a meal together as one BIG “Brooklyn family”.

At PeacePlayers we understand that to truly prepare young leaders for the world, we must ensure that they understand their responsibility to pour into their community.

Thank you to our Grow Her Game partner for hosting our leadership academy girls for a night to remember! Each player received free tickets to watch the game at the new Intuit dome with their family and friends and got to practice their skills at the basketball activitaton ahead of the game. We are so grateful to our friends and partners for their partnership and support. Let’s finish the season strong! 🏀💪🏽
