GOYN Global Convening Highlights - Mombasa, Kenya I Nov 6th-9th , 2023!

Today, we are excited to officially kick-off Day #3 of the 4th Annual GOYN Global Convening 2023 with our keynote speaker, Elliot Gerson - Executive Vice President, Public and Policy Programs at The Aspen Institute.

"Our aim is to create a more free, just and equitable society where Opportunity Youth create opportunities for themselves and for their communities......The Aspen Institute's Opportunity Youth initiative was launched with the Aspen Forum For Community Solutions (AFCS) which was founded out of the White House Council on Community Solutions during the Barack Obama Administration and led to this collective effort to launch a global effort with GOYN to reach and engage Opportunity Youth across the world."

This year’s convening theme is “Accelerating Inclusive Pathways to Economic Resilience”, in partnership with our local host community partner GOYN Mombasa - Swahilipot Hub Foundation.

Let the journey of inspiration, collaboration, and positive change begin for Opportunity Youth across the world.

Happy International !!

As communities emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, they are faced with ever-evolving local and global realities. GOYN partners and Opportunity Youth (OY) leaders continue to tap into their resilient and innovative spirits to build sustainable and equitable livelihood pathways, to reach more OY across the globe.

This International , we are pleased to share GOYN’s commitment in expanding to 4 new global communities: Barranquilla - Colombia, Tanga - Tanzania, Bhubaneswar and Raichur - India. As a network, we will continue to advance valuable learning and impact in ways that extend our reach to build more meaningful economic pathways and inclusive systems for OY - all while fueling transformational change through local-level action created with, by, and for, young people across the world.
