Labor Day, celebrated on the first Monday in September, honors the hard work and sacrifices of American workers. Born out of the labor movement during the Industrial Revolution, it became a national holiday in 1894, thanks to democratic President Grover Cleveland.

We celebrate the men and women who built this country, the men and women who built the middle class; the backbone of American prosperity, and the men and women who keep the American dream alive, and continue to power the labor movement’s progress, as we work together towards a brighter future!

DCAA is proud to have had three of its Board members and Democratic leaders - Buta Biberaj, Vedat Gashi, and Ilir Zherka - represent the Albanian American community at the DNC this past week. While in Chicago, they met with the Kosovo Prime Minister to discuss Kosovo-U.S. relations.
