🏅 We are honored to present our Upstander Award to professional wrestler and actor Bill Goldberg for standing proudly and publicly with Israel, and for calling out antisemitism when it would have been easier to stay quiet.

When one of wrestling’s biggest stars speaks out, people pay attention. Goldberg has never hesitated to use his voice to fight for what’s right. During his legendary career, he broke barriers by bringing his Jewish surname into the ring with pride. He became a genuine role model, famously refusing to wrestle on Yom Kippur even at his peak, when millions were watching.

He did not remain silent as antisemitism surged. On many occasions, he has shared how much of a blessing it has been to give young Jewish fans a different kind of sports hero to look up to—one who demonstrates what Jewish strength looks like.

Goldberg has led with courage and conviction throughout his life, standing tall and refusing to back down. He embodies what it means to be an Upstander.

With gratitude and admiration, Mazal tov, Bill Goldberg! 💪

Big congratulations to Jewish and Israeli star Amar'e Stoudemire on his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame!

In his speech, he reflected on his deep bond with Israel, emphasizing that his time playing there was driven by something greater than the game. 🏀🇮🇱

“We were playing in smaller arenas, but I was there for a deeper purpose and a reason,” he said. “At the end of it all, I wanted to go back to a place where I had a special connection to.”

A legendary career and a well-deserved honor.

As the sun prepares to set over Phoenix and hundreds of brothers, families, and friends prepare to welcome Shabbat together, AEPi will honor a brother whose lifetime of leadership has strengthened Jewish communities around the world.

Tonight, we are proud to present Brother Daniel S. Mariaschin (New Hampshire, 1971) with the Arthur Teich Award for Distinguished Alumni Achievement. During his 27 years as CEO of B'nai B'rith International, Brother Mariaschin became one of the Jewish world’s most respected voices, advancing global advocacy, diplomatic engagement and public policy on behalf of our people.

Dan represents the very best of Alpha Epsilon Pi: a brother whose leadership is rooted in Jewish pride, service, and an unwavering commitment to our community. His extraordinary example reminds our undergraduate Brothers that the bonds and values they develop in AEPi can inspire a lifetime of meaningful impact.

Tonight, we celebrate not only what Brother Mariaschin has accomplished, but the countless lives he has touched and the enduring legacy he continues to build.

🏅 We’re honored to present our Upstander Award to actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik for standing proudly and publicly with Israel—and for calling out anti-Semitism when it would have been easier to stay quiet.

Bialik has long been one of Hollywood’s most outspoken defenders of Israel. Since Oct. 7, her voice has only grown louder. Day after day, she has used her platform to dismantle anti-Semitic tropes, proudly wear her Star of David and defend Israel’s right to exist—championing the term “Zionist” against those who try to twist it into a slur and rightly insisting that Jews alone have the right to define their own identity.

In an industry where silence is often the default, Bialik has chosen to lead with courage, intellect and unapologetic Jewish pride. She truly embodies what it means to be an Upstander.

With gratitude and admiration, Mazal tov, Mayim Bialik! 👏

Thank you, Honeycomb, for spotlighting B'nai B'rith Connect’s work bringing young professionals face-to-face with Holocaust survivors—a reminder of why this kind of intergenerational connection is more urgent than ever.

B’nai B’rith’s Elisabeth Krebs: “There’s a lot of Holocaust denial out there. My hope was these students who heard her story would be equipped in conversations to say, ‘well, you’re wrong, because I heard this person directly tell me their story.’”

On June 17, B’nai B’rith Connect attended the Broadway production Giant, followed by a post-show discussion at a local restaurant. The evening sparked meaningful conversation about the play’s themes of antisemitism, identity, and prejudice.

Participants described feeling “Uneasy,” “Stunned,” “Disappointed,” and “Surprised,” among other reactions. A particularly engaging discussion centered on the term “House Jews,” which was unfamiliar to many attendees and prompted reflection on the play’s contemporary relevance.

The group also discussed the rise of antisemitism today and explored ways individuals and communities can respond. It was a powerful evening of theater, learning, and connection.

Incredible evening celebrating Shabbat as a community and hearing from Frontline Advocates Eliana Solomon, Ira Rosenblum, and Brhan Worku Liebman ✨
Together, we ushered in Shabbat and heard firsthand from these courageous IDF reservists—gaining a deeper understanding how to equip Jewish communities worldwide with the tools to stand stronger and navigate important and difficult conversations about the truth.
Their stories challenged us to learn more, lead with purpose, and stay connected as a community. A special thank you to Michael Mantell for introducing these incredible frontline advocates to the B’nai B’rith Connect family.
Grateful for an evening of reflection, connection, and community 🤍
